Rene's Bio...
"I was born and raised in a small city in Peru, on the
banks of the Amazon River. It was there in Iquitos that I stored
up the memories, colors, shapes and designs of life that now serve
me so well on canvas." |

"Of
course I also spent many years in Lima, Peru, where my family had
relocated when both my brother and myself were in primary school.
Then, at age sixteen, I was the first of my family to study in the
U.S.A." |
|
|
|
"In
the United States, I apprenticed in graphic arts and became art
director for several publications. I put down new roots and became
a citizen of my adopted country. I also began to explore my options
for portraying stories of the Native American Indian."
|
|
|
|
"At
first, most of my work for the Indian stories was rendered relistically.
It's only been more recently that I have found my stride with abstracts,
impressionist work, and expressionism. Some of my abstracts are still
available and are posted on the web. And for those which are sold,
I can still offer prints of them." |
